Lisandro Alonso (Argentina, 1975). Es uno de los directores pioneros del llamado Nuevo Cine Argentino. Estudió en la Fundación Universidad del Cine (FUC) y fue asistente de Nicolás Sarquís en la sección Contracampo, del Festival de cine de Mar del Plata. Su ópera prima, La Libertad (2001), realizada de manera independiente, formó parte de Un Certain Regard, en el Festival de Cannes. Además de director y guionista, también ha sido productor, editor y ayudante de dirección. En
2014 fue seleccionado como el Film Society of Lincoln Center and Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 2014 Filmmaker
in Residence. / He is one of the pioneer directors of New Argentine Film. He studied at the Foundation
University of Film and was assistant to Nicólas Sarquís in the Reverse Shot section of the Mar del Plata
Film festival. Her first opera, La Libertad (2001), independently made, formed part of Un Certain Regard
of the Cannes Film Festival. In addition to a director and screenwriter, he has also been a producer, editor, and production assistant. In 2014, he was selected as Filmmaker in Residence of the Film Society of Lincoln Center and Jaeger-LeCoultre and in 2016 he won the Radcliffe scholarship from Harvard University.
